The Office of the State Attorney – Twentieth Judicial Circuit is currently accepting applications for law students interested in an internship/externship for the Spring semester beginning in January 2019.  In order to participate students must be currently enrolled in a law school and have completed one semester.

Requirements

How to Apply

Students designated by the Florida Bar as Certified Legal Interns are encouraged to consider joining us this Summer. We have a wonderful program that will allow you an opportunity for courtroom experience. Students must have received their Florida Board of Bar Examiners Registrant Clearance prior to application submission.

  • A minimum of 4 full days per week, no exceptions
  • Requires 8 week minimum internship

Note: Applicants being considered for an interview will be required to successfully pass a preliminary background investigation (applicants will be contacted in advance to collect necessary information).

If you would like to be considered for an interview (via Go To Meeting), please submit the following items to lawstudent@sao.cjis20.org attention Cynthia Ross, Director of the Legal Division:

  • Cover Letter
  • Resume
  • Writing Sample
  • School Transcripts
  • FL State Application
  • Notice of Registrant Clearance from FL Board of Bar Examiners
All Other Interns and Externs
